Meneli Medicals is an accredited yellow fever vaccination centre near O.R. Tambo International Airport. We give travel vaccinations, issue the international yellow fever certificate and help you prepare for health risks at your destination. Dr Millicent Hlatshwayo, a member of the South African Society of Travel Medicine, has run the O.R. Tambo International Airport Travel Clinic since 2013.

## Yellow fever vaccination and certificate

Many countries ask for proof of yellow fever vaccination before you can enter, and South Africa requires it from travellers arriving from countries with a risk of yellow fever. After your vaccination we issue the International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis, often called the yellow card.

The certificate becomes valid 10 days after you are vaccinated, so visit us at least 10 days before you travel. Under World Health Organization rules, a yellow fever certificate is valid for life.

## Before your visit

- Bring your passport, so your certificate matches your travel documents.
- Bring any vaccination records you already have.
- Tell us if you are pregnant, have a weakened immune system or are travelling with a baby, so the clinician can check that the vaccine is suitable for you.

## Where to find us

The travel clinic is inside Arwyp Medical Centre at 20 Pine Ave, Kempton Park, a short drive from O.R. Tambo International Airport. Despite its name, the clinic is not at the airport itself.
