Information we collect

When you phone or email us, we collect your name, contact details and anything you choose to tell us, so that we can respond and arrange your care.

When you visit this website, we collect information about how you use it: the pages you view, how long you stay, the website that referred you, your device and browser type, and your approximate location based on your internet address. We use Google Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics for this.

This website does not ask for your health information. Health information you share with us during a consultation forms part of your medical record and is kept confidential, as required by the Health Professions Council of South Africa and POPIA.

How we use your information

• To answer your enquiries and arrange appointments and medicals.
• To understand how visitors use this website so that we can improve it.
• To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

Cookies

Google Analytics places cookies in your browser to tell visits apart. Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) to stop Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run this website, namely Google (analytics) and Vercel (website hosting and analytics), and when the law requires us to.

These providers may process information on servers outside South Africa. We use providers that are bound by data protection obligations that offer a level of protection similar to POPIA.

How long we keep it and how we protect it

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or for as long as the law requires. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. You may also object to us processing it, or withdraw consent you have given. To make a request, contact our Information Officer at the email address above.
